MINERALS AUTOMATION STANDARD
The MINERALS AUTOMATION STANDARD is a process control system based on CEMAT and designed with the specific requirements of the mining industry in mind. It combines cement plant automation functions, developed over more than 35 years, with the automation functions typically required for mining applications.
Like CEMAT, the MINERALS AUTOMATION STANDARD also uses the modern SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system, with its open and flexibly scalable architecture, as its system platform. This means that it also benefits from the innovative Advanced Process Library (APL), which takes the experience gained by configuration engineers and plant operators over many years and transforms it into an excellent range of basic functions that have an attractive design and are extremely easy to use.
Building on this, the MINERALS AUTOMATION STANDARD optimizes both the operating philosophy as well as the diagnostics, signaling, and interlocking concept by using industry-specific software packages for the specific tasks that take place in the mining industry.
